Produced by the famed French pottery brand Sarreguemines, a prestigious earthenware house founded in 1790. They are more recognised in the UK for their historical collaborations with Minton to serve their French customers.
This durable stoneware carafe is perfect as a water jug or for its intended use of airing wine—or simply to decant the dreadful box wine you've been saving for the dinner party. "Vin de pays" translates to "country wine," a fitting title for this well-made piece.
Condition: Good vintage condition; no chips or cracks. There is some discoloration on the word "Pays," but very good overall.
